What to do in DC this Weekend

There’s a lot of great events going on this weekend in DC, but we’ve picked our top choices!

Friday:

Flat Iron Steak and Saloon Grand Opening: The owners of A-Town Bar and Grill in Arlington, VA are hosting the grand opening of their new restaurant, Flat Iron Steak and Saloon on King Street in Alexandria this Friday evening, from 8:00pm-close. DC and Arlington residents will be taking three party buses to the restaurant (leaving from A-Town between the hours of 8-10:00pm) to help celebrate the grand opening of Flat Iron. The party bus tickets are already sold out, but Flat Iron will be open all night with live music downstairs and a DJ upstairs. Join the Social DC PR team as we celebrate the opening of Flat Iron!

Saturday-Sunday:

Drink the District: Beer Edition: Drink the District will be taking place this Saturday July 27th and Sunday July 28th at 500 New York Avenue, NW DC, in celebration of beer, summer, and youth in the Nation’s Capital. Taste over 50 different beers, enjoy DC’s favorite food trucks, and hang out with other young professionals! You can purchase tickets for up to five different sessions (based on time). Your ticket gives you unlimited beer tastings and access to all of the food trucks (food cost is extra).

Saturday:

“Ever After” An Enchanted Tea Party Fashion Show at the Observatory at the Graham Hotel, benefiting Becky’s Fund: From 2:00-6:00pm on Saturday, July 27th, the Graham Hotel will have its first fashion show with a magical tea party theme featuring the designs of Tsyndyma Kroujilov and Brimble & Clark. Master of ceremonies for the event is DC’s Guest of a Guest Editor, Sophie Pyle and the host committee includes Fran Holuba, Adra Williams, and Lauren Shipton.

Saturday evening:

“Art, Culture, and All Things Pink” Party: From 5:00-8:00pm on Saturday, July 27th there will be a garden party benefiting The Children’s Inn at NIH in the urban garden of the Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown. There are only 100 tickets available to this exclusive event that will honor several little girls who are currently battling cancer.
