Fashion Week in DC at the W got delayed because of the snow storms two weeks ago but it didn’t stop the excitement to celebrate DKNY Spring Collection last Wednesday. The W Washington DC hotel in partnership with Bloomingdales offered a close up of the DKNY collection with a complimentary nail bar, hair primping and beauty station. There were also delicious “fashionable” cocktails to enjoy the incredible view that the hotel offers of the Washington Monument and the White house.
DKNY was founded in 1988 inspired by her daughter Gaby, Donna Karan is celebrating her 25th year with her signature mark of making clothing for a younger and urban but still very chic woman. This spring collection shows all of that and more. It’s incredible to see that every piece has it’s own personality.
DKNY’s women and men collection shows such an energetic vibe with an influenced NY street style from baggy jean pants, denim overalls to baseball caps. Last week’s event featured models with a more classic style of a black and white outfits perfect for the business woman in DC who wants to look presentable at work and ready for a cocktail after 6pm when the weather gets warmer.
